Fitness Blogger's Dramatic Before-And-After Photo Will Make You Feel So Much Better About Having Cheat Days

Anyone who's tried to clean up their diet knows the struggle of cheat days. Sometimes, one less-than-stellar meal a week is enough to kick cravings, other days you eat a few chips and then the whole bag is gone. It's a struggle.

There's no shortage of arguments debating whether or not to include cheat meals (or days) in your diet, but fitness blogger Anna Victoria is firmly in the 80/20 camp: "The 80% is about long-term enjoyment and satisfaction while the 20% is short term," she explains.

Her latest Instagram post stresses that when you do indulge, you shouldn't beat yourself up about it – even when churros and ice cream are involved.

In the post, Victoria talked about a recent family visit to Disneyland in which she went hard on all the best park foods (like any normal human would), including churros, caramel apples, ice cream, and bread bowls. That night, she ate a little protein, drank a lot of water, and her stomach looked exactly the same as it did pre-Disney noms. She even posted the photos to prove it.

Although she admitted to "feeling like crap (physically)" at the end of the day, she had fun, and enjoyed the time with her family, so she feels no regret toward eating the not-so-healthy foods.

"You need to relax and indulge sometimes, especially when you're with friends and family on special occasions," Victoria wrote. "Life must be lived!"

Victoria talks about the 80/20 goal often, making most of her meals and snacks healthy while easing up at the end of the week with one big cheat meal on Sunday.

"For me, I can't do little cheats through the week for my 20% because when my sweet tooth gets a little taste, it wants more and more," she said.

Victoria's candid post comes as no surprise if you follow her on social media – her feed is full of unfiltered posts, sharing her splurges, food babies, and makeup-free moments with her followers.
