Being grumpy and bad tempered can have serious implications for your health.
Being grumpy can cause heart attacks

Bad-tempered people appear to be more susceptible to having heart attacks than others, according to a US study. Researchers studied inhabitants of Sardinia in Italy and found that those ranking in the lowest 10 per cent of "agreeableness" were 1.4 times more likely to have thickening in the lining of their carotid artery.
Lead author Angelina Sutin found that "antagonistic individuals, especially those who are manipulative and aggressive, have greater increases in arterial thickening, independent of traditional cardiovascular risk factors". "People may learn to control their anger and learn ways to express it in more socially acceptable ways," Sutin adds. Clinical trials are continuing.
